My favorite units were the ones over Aladdin and Adam and Eve. These units told a continuous story. I prefer these to the units filled with different tales and fables. It's easier to read and keep track of the characters and the themes. It would be nice if there was an obvious way to tell the difference between these types of units. Maybe there could be a picture of a 'C' or something next the the units that are continuous in nature.
I tend to remember how things make me feel as opposed to actual facts. My reading diaries reflect this. I strayed away from summaries and focused on the themes and how they related to stories that I have from my own life. This is how I remember things the best. None of my storytellings have been directly taken from the readings. I use the main themes to make up my stories. In this way, the reading diaries help.
Reading is one of my favorite hobbies! I enjoy fiction that describes scandalous love stories the most. From what I've read from others' storytelling, there are several units that have this theme. The thing that would help me the most in making my reading unit decisions would be to know if they were made up of many different stories or if they are a continuous story. I have very much enjoyed the stories I've read so far. Thanks Laura!
